The Chinese bank ICBC continues to establish itself as the leading bank in the world with 173 billion euros (€ mM). HSBC climbs to second place with € 156m and JP Morgan with € 139m climbs to the third step of the podium.

Among Spanish banks, Banco Santander continues to maintain its leadership as largest bank in the eurozone, although the French bank BNP has cut several positions. The other large Spanish bank (BBVA) drops one place on the list to 31.
