  • Empathy: Putting yourself in the place of another, and feeling what you may be feeling in that situation or in a certain event. It is one of the most recognized and valued skills. This allows you to understand someone's point of view, opinions and perceptions without having to judge them, but rather trying to understand their behavior and emotions at that very moment.
  • Active listening: This is something that many understand, but do not put it into practice. It is about listening with all your senses to the person who is speaking, without reacting, or thinking about responding before they have finished speaking. The objective is to assess what you are saying, to reason your opinions, and to wait to respond when you have finished speaking and have been listened to attentively and actively.
  • Non-verbal language: There are studies that determine that in a conversation, what gives more information and clues about the user is non-verbal language, compared to the verbal language that is being used at that time. The gestures, looks, postures, give many indications of the way a person feels, and what he transmits when communicating.
  • Verbal language: It is about everything that is emitted through language. For example, the tone that is used, if it is spoken aloud, if it is done quickly or slowly, or if pauses are emitted. Verbal language can be worked a lot to be able to express what one manifests and the tone that one wants to achieve to get the message to the receiver correctly.
  • Resolving conflicts: This is something very necessary for personal and work life. How can conflicts be resolved effectively? The best thing is to have a calm attitude, assess the problem, listen to the parties involved and agree on a solution that is positive for all those involved in the conflict.
  • Persuasion: It is a communicative ability typical of sales professionals, or marketing, for example. The objective is to present a series of arguments that motivate a purchase, or the possibility of getting the user to do something in particular. It is a determining part when a negotiation process is taking place.
