World's Largest Companies 2014

ranking

Here are the largest companies in the world, by market capitalization in 2014. With a value of more than 341 billion euros and with customers in almost every corner of the planet, Apple is positioned as the most valuable company in the world in 2014 , leaving Exxon Mobil and its most direct competitor, the almighty Google, far behind.

It should be noted that of the ten largest companies in the world, eight of them are American. Demonstrating the strength of the American economy. The other places in the top ten are occupied by the Swiss Roche and Nestlé, in positions 7 and 10, respectively.

This classification shows once again that although China's GDP is approaching that of America by leaps and bounds, the world's leading economic power will be the United States for much longer.

By sectors, world economic power is marked by technology companies, banks, oil companies and fashion companies. And it doesn't seem like it's changing.

The first Spanish company, Banco Santander, is ranked 69, rising no less than 34 places since last year, due to the spectacular rise in the stock market of the Spanish financial sector. Inditex drops five places to 89 and BBVA rises 53 places to 133. The Spanish telephonic operator, Telefónica, is ranked 140 this year.

The Colombian Ecopetrol and the Mexican America Móvil, fell to positions 135 and 137, respectively.
